The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing overall communication and marketing plans - to build awareness, increase traffic, improve conversion, and improve engagement. This will be accomplished through developing, maintaining, and expanding marketing channels/methodologies. We are looking for an amazing, data-driven inbound marketer with outstanding communication skills.

Primary responsibilities

  • Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning, etc.) Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns
  • Ensure standardization and proper messaging are being executed online and across other collateral
  • Build and manage a rich content/editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience to our owned properties (including blog posts, whitepapers, reports, webinars, infographics, etc.)
  • Produce written and multimedia content and manage pay-per-click (PPC) and programmatic advertising. Manage PPC profiles on Google AdWords and run ads on LinkedIn.
  • Come up with ideas to create more traction online – identify other platforms, forums, etc., to generate more traffic, and do so with SEO in mind/li>
  • Build and manage our social media profiles and presence, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant
  • Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks.
  • Team with pertinent internal stakeholders to roll out seamless, effective campaigns.
  • Assist in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an accredited college or university in a marketing or related field of study
  • Proven experience as a marketing officer or similar role. 1-3 years of experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), and Paid Search (PPC). Certification on Google AdWords and SEO would be preferred. Solid knowledge of marketing techniques and principles
  • Applied understanding of basic marketing principles and techniques
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, content management systems like WordPress, Google AdWords, Analytics, MS Office, and relevant applications/tools
  • Excellent writing, researching, and proofreading skills

Preferred skills and knowledge

  • Wants to be challenged, make an impact, and learn a lot while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web dev tools like WordPress is desired
  • Ability to take initiative, employ good judgment, and manage projects with assistance.
