Work Hours & Days: Mon – Fri – 9am to 5pm – 40 hours per week from office. 

Stipend: $ 3,000 p/m 

Duration: 6months and can be converted to Fulltime

Job Description

As a Warehouse & Logistics Intern at Detect Technologies, you will support the day-to-day movement, storage, and tracking of equipment and materials used for our AI and IoT projects. This is a 6-month internship, and based on performance the role is convertible to a full-time position. 

You will be responsible for warehouse inventory tracking and for ensuring that orders are received, accurately recorded, and delivered to clients on time, while coordinating closely with internal project, procurement, and engineering teams. 

Day to day, you will assist with receiving deliveries, recording and reconciling inventory, organizing stock, preparing and staging completed equipment for shipment, arranging pickups and deliveries, and maintaining accurate warehouse and logistics records. 

The role is focused on inventory, warehouse, order fulfillment, and shipment activities. Technical assembly, wiring, device configuration, software setup, and equipment testing remain with the IoT Assembly Intern and engineering team. 

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn warehouse and logistics processes in a fast-paced technology environment. 

Responsibilities

  1. Inventory Management & Tracking
  • Receive, count, label, and record incoming equipment and materials. 
  • Maintain accurate stock records and keep inventory trackers up to date in real time. 
  • Support cycle counts and report missing, damaged, or incorrect items. 
  • Organize inventory by item type, project, and storage location. 

 

  1. OrderFulfillment & Client Delivery 
  • Ensure client orders are picked, verified, packed, and delivered accurately and on time. 
  • Confirm order quantities, serial numbers, and documentation against the order before dispatch. 
  • Track each order from receipt through delivery and confirm receipt with the client or project team. 
  • Proactively flag and follow up on any delivery delays, shortages, or discrepancies. 

 

  1. Warehouse Operations
  • Keep shelves, bins, and warehouse work areas organized and clearly labeled. 
  • Store equipment safely and follow company handling procedures. 
  • Prepare and stage materials for the IoT Assembly Intern or technical team. 
  • Return unused materials to the correct inventory location. 

 

  1. Shipping and Receiving
  • Prepare packing lists, labels, and shipment documentation. 
  • Pack completed equipment only after technical release by the assembly or engineering team. 
  • Coordinate approved courier or freight pickups and deliveries. 
  • Track incoming and outgoing shipments and maintain delivery records. 

 

  1. Internal Coordination
  • Coordinate with project, procurement, assembly, and engineering teams on equipment movement and readiness. 
  • Confirm shipment quantities and timing with internal project teams before dispatch. 
  • Maintain equipment check-in and check-out records across the office, warehouse, and project sites. 
  • Communicate status, priorities, and issues clearly to the supervisor and internal stakeholders. 

 

  1. Quality and Documentation
  • Verify item quantities, serial numbers, packaging condition, and documents before shipment. 
  • Maintain inventory, receiving, order, and shipment records for future reference. 
  • Route technical issues to the IoT Assembly Intern or engineering team. 
  • Follow warehouse safety, storage, and shipping procedures. 

 

  1. Learning and Development
  • Gain practical exposure to warehouse, inventory, order-fulfillment, and logistics operations. 
  • Learn basic inventory-control and shipment-management processes. 
  • Participate in team knowledge-sharing and process-improvement activities. 

 

Acceptance Criteria 

  1. Education: Recently completed or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Language: Proficiency in English, spoken and written.
  3. Experience: Previous warehouse, retail stockroom, inventory, or shipping experience is preferred but not required.
  4. Inventory Knowledge: Basic understanding of inventory, order fulfillment, or warehouse operations is an advantage.
  5. Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately verify quantities, labels, serial numbers, and shipment documents.
  6. Organization: Ability to maintain an orderly warehouse and accurate records.
  7. Teamwork & Coordination: Ability to coordinate with operations, procurement, project, assembly, and engineering teams.
  8. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify inventory or order discrepancies and report operational issues.
  9. Time Management: Ability to complete assigned tasks and meet order and shipment deadlines.
  10. Communication: Clear written and verbal communication with internal team members and clients.
  11. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and email. Inventory or ERP system experience is a plus.
  12. Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift and move equipment within company safety guidelines and work in a warehouse environment.
  13. Availability: Available for the full 6-month internship term, with interest in converting to a full-time role based on performance.
